Recommended Scuba Diving Sites in Mallorca / Majorca
At Finatical Divers we try our best to organise the boats and dive groups so that everyone dives with divers of similar abilities. It is for this reason that we try, wherever possible, to divide the certified scuba divers into two groups. The recently qualified diver and the experienced diver
New or Recently Qualified Divers
If you are a new or recently qualified scuba diver with less than 20 dives in your log book or are not certified to dive to more than 18 metres then these dives would be ideal for you.
We also recommend that if you have not dived for 6 months then you should do a familiarisation dive to reacquaint yourself to the equipment and scuba diving techniques. This need not be an extra dive but can be included into your first dive with us.
At Finatical Divers it is our aim to ensure that the certified diver to instructor / dive master ratio of no more than 6:1. If this sounds appealing and you fall into this category then have a look at the Dive Sites for recently qualified divers.
Experienced Divers
If you have been diving for a while, hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver licence (or equivalent) and have logged more than 20 dives then you are classed as an experienced diver. At Finatical Divers we have selected certain dive sites that may appeal to divers like you.

Special Trips
During the forthcoming season we will be scuba diving in and around the magical islands of Cabrera marine nature reserve. These are a collection of 19 small, predominately unihabited islands. Since 1991 the land and sea area surrouning this rocky archipelago have been designated National Parks. As a result of this the number of people permitted to visit the islands has been limited by the Balearic Government. Consequently permits have to obtained to allow people to scuba dive in the vicinity.
These trips are usually an all day event. i.e. from 08:30 to 17:00, so a packed lunch and plenty of water and sun cream is advisable!
The planned dates for these 'special trips' are as follows:
May
3rd & 17th.
June
7th,17th and 28th.
July
2nd ,5th ,8th ,13th ,16th ,19th ,22nd ,27th & 30th.
August
2nd ,6th ,10th ,12th ,16th, 20th, 24th, 26th & 30th.
September
7th, 13th, 21st & 27th.
October

These unique scuba diving experiences are subject to a 10 Euros per dive surcharge. This is purely to cover the cost of obtaining the necessary permits and local taxes.
