Scuba Diving for Certified Divers in Mallorca / Majorce

Welcome to the section of the Finatical Divers website that is totally dedicated to scuba diving for the certified diver. We rercognise an array of different scuba diving training agencies with BSAC, CMAS, NAUI, PADI, SSI, FEDAS to name just a few. Whether you have recently qualified or have been diving for years we have something for you.

The diving in and around the resorts of Palma Nova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa / Ponca, Illetas, Portals Nous, Paguera and Andratx is some of the best on the island. The local geology is ideally suited to support a vast array of underwater marine life. The dive centres are situated in between the two marine parks of El Toro and Malgrats. The majority of the dive sites are within a 20 minute radius of the dive centre so we’re the first dive boat to arrive at the dive sites each morning.

At Finatical Divers we run two tank dive trips most days. That is to say you go for one dive have a surface interval for an hour and then go for the second dive. Not diving with two tanks!
If you are a Nitrox certified diver then you can dive using enriched air. All you have to do is order either a 12 litre or 15 litre tank the day before you are scheduled to dive with us and we'll do the rest for you. There is a two Euros charge for the use of enriched air (Nitrox)

The Daily Schedule

08:15 - Pick up service begins.

08:45 - Arrive at the dive centre. Complete registration paperwork.

09:00 - Begin preparing and checking of equipment.

09:30 - Boat departs for Dive One.

10:30 - Surface from Dive One. Begin 60 minute surface interval.

11:30 - Begin Dive Two

12:30 - Boat departs dive site for port.

12:45 - Arrive in port, rinse and hang equipment out to dry.

13:30 - Dive debriefing and transfer back to resort.

The Dive Boats

The dive boats that are used have been designed by scuba divers for scuba divers offering plenty of room with easy entry / exit points. The three dive boats that we use are named Puntazo, Belone Belone and Conger Conger. The Puntazo is a 9 metre hard boat that can comfortably accommodate 12 divers. The other two boats can only be described as a diver’s paradise. They are 12 metre RHIB's with twin inboard 225 HP diesel engines. They cruise at speeds up to 30 knots and can accommodate up to 20 divers each.

The Facilities

If you are staying in Palma Nova, Magaluf, Santa Ponsa / Ponca, Illetas or Portals Nous then why not take advantage of our courtesy transfer service. We will collect you in the morning and drop you off in the afternoon.

The facilities that we have are second to none. We are the ONLY dive centre in the area that offer segregated hot / cold showering facilities and changing areas. Both have wash basins, mirrors and dry changing areas.
